Final Acceptance Test Plan (FAT)

The Final Acceptance Test Plan (FAT) establishes the formal verification procedure executed prior to deploying an Aslandi Edge Converter unit to a customer site.

1. Pre-Commissioning Hardware Inspection

Before powering on the unit, the technician must verify:

CheckpointRequirementInspection Method
Pico 2 W SeatingFirmly seated in carrier header socketsVisual & mechanical check
RTC Coin CellCR1220 battery voltage $> 3.0\text{ V}$Digital Multimeter (DMM)
RS-485 Termination$120\ \Omega$ termination jumper configured on Channel 0Resistance check ($A$ to $B$ unpowered)
MicroSD CardIndustrial grade Class 10 / pSLC card insertedVisual inspection
Galvanic IsolationRS-485 ground isolated from digital groundMultimeter continuity test

2. Automated Diagnostic Self-Test (FAT Routine)

3. Mandatory Sign-Off Criteria

A converter unit is certified for production deployment only when:

  1. Flash Integrity: Signed firmware verified with valid ECDSA P-256 signature in Slot A.
  2. Meter Discovery: Successfully discovers and queries at least 1 physical or simulated Modbus meter on Channel 0.
  3. Queue Write & Read: Emits a test schema v3 record to LittleFS and confirms non-volatile storage.
  4. Cloud Handshake: Successfully performs mTLS handshake with the Planovi staging broker and receives CONNACK.
  5. Certificate Expiration: X.509 device certificate has $> 365\text{ days}$ of validity remaining.
